--Lucius Annaeus Seneca (4 BC – 65 AD) "To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late. And how can man die better than facing fearful odds, For the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his gods?" --Thomas Babington Macaulay, 1st Baron Macaulay (October 25, 1800 - December 28, 1859) |
Who We Are
Note that this web site is rather simple and outdated. It's been a heck of a few years, between covid and relocating one county north. Ideally, I should start a new site from scratch, but for now, updates are in place as needed, and please e-mail me with any questions. --Alaric Cherusker A frithful group of Asatruar and Heathens from Schuylkill County County, Pa and the surrounding areas seeking to form personal connections with others, learn by asking questions and discussing lore, share what we know, grow friendships, and find out what local events are going on right now. Cherusker Hold was originally founded under the name, "Berks County Asatru & Heathenry" in August of 2010 as a place for followers of all branches of Heathenry to network with each other, as well as newer followers and the curious public to come and learn about the old religion of northern Europe. We are currently unaffiliated with any other Asatru organization or kindred. Check out our Google calendar for a schedule of our holidays and events. All are welcome to learn and participate as much as they may comfortably do so at our public events! So if you're free, come join us for some awesome heathen conversation and company! Please note, we are currently reorganizing the group structure, as well as renovating this site, but we haven't gone anywhere, and will soon continue holding our meetings. I think you will be happy with the final result! (Last Updated 12/30/2021) |
